Our Team

On our office wall hangs a picture of our business location taken — we believe — around 1950. In it you can see the huge old oak tree that Big Oak Road (and Big Oak Citgo!) were named for. The tree was long gone when we arrived in 1994, but the stump remains, defying all attempts at removal. The location was formerly operated by Fred Beans, who went on to own many local new car dealerships in the area. Steve Kerrigan ran the location prior to 1994, successfully operating for over 20 years.

Our customers are our friends and neighbors. We are a local business, and depend on long-term relationships with our customers. One of the rewards of doing business in the same location for many years is the trust relationship that builds with our customers. This relationship is of great value to us and we protect it carefully. You can expect us to recognize the value of your time, and provide you with auto repair and maintenance options designed with your best interests in mind. Thank you for taking the time to read about us, we hope to see you soon!

Meet the Team

We are justifiably proud of our team at Big Oak Citgo. We employ ASE Certified Technicians at Big Oak Citgo, including two ASE Master Certified Technicians. Our auto mechanics and service writers attend many seminars and clinics throughout the year in order to stay abreast of new technologies. Today’s vehicles are sophisticated and complex machines, don’t trust your car to less than the best!

Pete Kraemer

Pete Kraemer hails from Hollywood, Florida where his first job at the age of 15 was working as a gas attendant and later a tow truck driver.  He became interested in stock car racing and was the United Stock Car Alliance Champion in 1996.  This interest evolved into a career in automotive repair.  In the late ’90s he moved into the Yardley/Morrisville area.  Pete is the proverbial “guy who can fix anything,” with more than 25 years in the business.  He is an ASE Certified technician and a professional at the top of his trade.  Pete has been with the Big Oak team now for over 10 years.

Pete is married and has two children. He and his wife are very involved in local youth baseball and basketball, and are active in the PTO.

Bob Weng

Bob Weng is an ASE Master Certified Technician and Certified Repair Technician for the State of PA, with more than 30 years in the trade. Bob has been with us over 10 years. His ability to explain complex repair options and his easy-going professionalism have made him a favorite here at Big Oak Citgo.Bob was born and raised in Bucks County, graduating from Truman High School and Bucks County Technical High School.  He began his career working in Newtown, PA at a local dealership and eventually moved on to an independent auto repair shop.

When Bob is not fixing cars he enjoys spending time with his 4 children and 13 (and counting) grandchildren!

Mike Cooper

Mike Cooper became a member of the Big Oak team in 2014. Mike is a 2006 graduate of Pennsbury High School and a 2010 graduate of Penn State Smeal College of Business with a degree in Business Management.  After working several years in Business Development at Decision Distribution, he decided to join the family business.  Mike is an alumnus of the Pennsbury Frisbee and Tennis Teams and is still an avid tennis player: he plays on USTA teams in Bucks County.

Mike and his wife Annie are raising their two young kids in Yardley.  When not at work, Mike can be found playing tennis, building PCs, and engaging in epic Nerf battles with the kids and their friends.

Ethan Bray

Ethan Bray, born and raised in Bucks County, is a 2008 graduate of Pennsbury Technical High School.  We were lucky enough to hire Ethan while he was still in tech school 7 years ago and have seen him grow into a great tech. He is an up and coming talent here at Big Oak. He has earned several ASE certifications and is working toward his Master Certification.

Ethan enjoys the outdoors and hunting.  He also has a passion for hot rods and attends car shows whenever he can.

Annie Cooper

Annie joined her husband Mike at Big Oak Citgo in February of 2018.  She formerly worked with student Veterans pursuing degrees at Thomas Edison State University through the GI Bill, and is now enjoying working at the family business.

In her free time, Annie loves to cook, spend time with Mike & the kids, and play tennis: she is a member of 2 USTA teams out of Bucks County Racquet Club.

Part-Time Gas Attendants

We also employ several part-time gas attendants. Over the years, we have provided many first-time job experiences. Most of our former attendants continue as customers, and all as friends.
